Troop 90 Boy Scouts announce Harlan Avenue of Flags project

HARLAN – Harlan Boy Scout Troop 90 has announced a new community project called the Harlan Avenue of Flags that kicks off this week.
With the guidance of Scoutmaster Dr. Don Klitgaard and the other Troop 90 committee members, the project has three main purposes for the Boy Scouts: provide a service to their community, show their patriotism and pride in their nation, and raise funds to give more opportunities for their troop members.
The Harlan Avenue of Flags will be a subscription service to include five national holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4, Labor Day and Veteran’s Day. The cost of the renewable subscription is $50 per year, and will cover all five holidays for that year.
