PINK OUT EVENT TUESDAY

HARLAN -- Harlan Community Schools’ Health Occupations Students of America and a number of other school organizations will host the annual Pink Out fundraiser for breast cancer awareness Tuesday, Jan. 26.
The event will be held in conjunction with the boys/girls doubleheader high school basketball game at Harlan Community vs. Denison-Schleswig.
Tuesday night activities will include a bake sale, silent auction table of donated items, and a bucket brigade, just to name a few.
All cancer survivors will be honored during the evening. T-shirts will be available for purchase to support pink out activities, and those who already have bought the shirts are urged to wear them to the games.
In addition, there will be a special performance by Breaking Cy-Lence, the Harlan Community High School show choir which will perform at halftime of the boys’ basketball game.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the American Cancer Society for cancer research.
