New Christmas lighting committee looking to expand community’s holiday project

HARLAN -- As the sun sets on a very cold and snowy winter, a new glow will find its way to Harlan with the help of a newly-formed Christmas lighting committee.
Headed by Todd Valline, Director of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the committee was formed about a month ago to assist the county’s board of supervisors and auditor in lighting up Harlan.
Committee member Denny Siemers said the committee’s goal is to expand on what already has been accomplished with lighting around the courthouse square, to include much of Harlan.
