County approves pay raise for elected officials

Supervisors will get no raise

COUNTY – Elected officials in Shelby County will see a 2.5 percent raise next year following approval by the Shelby County Board of Supervisors.
Supervisors Steve Kenkel, Roger Schmitz and Charlie Parkhurst approved the raise after discussion of the county compensation board’s recommendation last month.
The compensation board had recommended a 3.5 percent increase and an additional 0.5 percent catch-up increase for all elected officials except the supervisors, who were not recommended to receive a raise.
