CHRISTENSEN TAKES OATH OF OFFICE

    HARLAN -- Friends, family and colleagues filled the Shelby County Courthouse courtroom Friday, Jan. 8 in support of Susan Larson Christensen, who officially took the oath of office as District Court Judge of the Fourth Judicial District of Iowa.
    Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad selected Christensen, of Harlan, November 4 as the next district court judge serving the region.  She joins brother Jeffrey Larson, Harlan, also a fourth judicial district judge.  Christensen was sworn in by her father, Iowa Supreme Court Chief Justice Jerry Larson (retired) at the ceremony.  Christensen was joined by her husband, Jay, and children at the event, as well as a host of friends and colleagues.
