CDS Global, Inc. will close Harlan facility in February

 HARLAN — CDS Global, Incorporated has announced the closing of the Harlan location in early 2025.
 The Harlan facility of the subscription fulfillment company based in Des Moines employs 94 workers, according to the Iowa WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) website. The job losses will take effect February 3, 2025.
 The decision to close the Harlan location was announced November 26.
 CDS Global is part of the Hearst Corp. and is best known for providing subscription and fulfillment services to magazines and other publications. CDS has been in operation for more than 45 years and has 13 locations around the world including Des Moines, West Des Moines, Tipton, Red Oak, Wilton and Boone in Iowa.
 A spokesperson from CDS said, “While we continue to adapt to our clients’ increasing shift to digital products and online engagement, we’re also making strategic decisions about our operations to position the business for long-term growth.”
