MMC Auxiliary Bazaar set for September 9

All proceeds go toward needed items at MMC

HARLAN -- “City Shopping in a Small Town” is the theme for this year’s Myrtue Medical Center Auxiliary Fall Bazaar and Luncheon.  The event is planned for Thursday, Sept. 9 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Veteran’s Auditorium in Harlan.
The public may purchase raffle and luncheon tickets Monday through Friday between 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the hospital gift shop or by calling Calla Poldberg at 712-773-2292.  Luncheon tickets may also be purchased the day of the bazaar and take out meals are available.
The bazaar is the auxiliary’s largest fundraiser and all proceeds are returned to Myrtue Medical Center.  The bazaar was not held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so the last bazaar and luncheon was held in September, 2019.  Staley’s Chicken Dinner will cater the event, with homemade dessert.
There will be a candy/bake shop plus tree of lights ornaments will be available for purchase.  Raffle tickets are available at $5 each or five for $20, with a television, hand-made quilts and a wellness center membership among those items available.  The quilts were made and donated by Karen Nelson, RN, a health coach at Myrtue Medical Center.
The gift shop features baby items, games, children’s books, puzzles, stuffed animals, accessories, wall art, jewelry, clothing, handbags/totes, and Halloween and Thanksgiving decor.
Displaying one of the quilts available at the bazaar are auxiliary members front row L-R  -- Calla Poldberg, Susan Hogzett, Pat Pash, Shannon Bartley, Kathy Campbell, Tammie Heileson.
Middle L-R Linda Mosher and Sharon Daberkow.
Back row L-R  Kathy Block, Julienne Ferry, Deb Jauron, Bonnie Fiscus, Linda Quinn.
