Louie and his wife Lois (Eilts) have lived in the Walnut area their entire married life. Their family includes two daughters and spouses: Linda and Charles Ploen, Walnut; Leanne and Jeff Krueger, Walnut; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
