Birthday Milestones - Clarence Brinker

    ANKENY -- Former rural Harlan resident Clarence Brinker of Ankeny will celebrate his 80th birthday on March 4. His family is planning a card shower in his honor.  Cards will reach him if sent to 2716 NW 25th St., Ankeny, IA 50023.
    His family includes five children and their spouses: Diane and Todd McCoy, Des Moines; Kevin and Rose Brinker, Carroll; Julie and John Nickell, Waukee, Mike and Sara Brinker, West Des Moines; Jill and James Kramer, Ankeny; and 10 grandchildren.
    Clarence is a retired postal service worker and farmer. He and his wife, Karen, lived on their acreage in rural Harlan for 55 years before moving to Ankeny in November 2020.
