Wolves win third in a row, tied for first in District 2

 MANSON (Oct. 4) -- The IKM-Manning football team ran its winning streak to three games on Friday night, scoring a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns to pull away from Manson Northwest Webster for a 35-16 road win.
 The Wolves evened their overall record at 3-3 and, more importantly, improved to 2-0 in Class A, District 2, tied with Alta-Aurelia and Sioux Central for first place.
 IKM-M trailed Manson 8-7 in the second quarter before scoring four of the game’s final five touchdowns. Nolan Ramsey’s 44-yard TD pass to Parker Behrens put the Wolves up 14-8 at halftime and Amos Rasmussen opened the third quarter with a 29-yard scoring run.
 Kyler Rasmussen’s one-yard touchdown run capped a nine-play, 64-yard drive with 7:59 left in the game and with 2:06 to go Nolan Ramsey connected with Luke Ramsey for a 21-yard TD completion.
 The Wolves outgained the host Cougars 339-242 in total offense, including a 256-76 advantage on the ground as Kyler and Amos Rasmussen combined for 190 rushing yards on 27 carries. Colten Brandt, who opened the scoring with a 23-yard TD run, carried the ball six times for 67 yards.
 Defensively, IKM-M was led by Kyler Rasmussen’s 17 total tackles (7 solos) and 54-yard interception return. Brandt added six solos and seven assists.
