Wolves, Spartans win four golds at Wheeler Relays

Treynor sweeps team titles on cold night to run

 AUDUBON -- The girls and boys track teams from IKM-Manning and Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton battled brutal conditions for five hours Tuesday night, combining to win four events and place 39 times at the Audubon Wheeler Co-Ed Relays.
 The meet featured falling temperatures into the mid-40’s, a strong northwest wind and even some light rain during the final few events.
 Treynor swept the team titles on the night and took home a combined nine gold medals. The Cardinal girls scored 124 points, followed by Panorama with 112 and ACGC (99). The Cardinal boys wrapped up first place with room to spare, outscoring ACGC 116-79.
 The IKM-Manning girls earned the top finish among local teams, accumulating 49 points for fifth place. The Exira-EHK girls scored six points and finished last out of 10 teams.
 On the boys side, IKM-M placed seventh with 53 points and Exira-EHK was eighth with 46.
