Vikings top Spartans in overtime

 AVOCA (Jan. 27) -- Rallying from 15 points down, the AHSTW boys basketball team forced overtime with three seconds left and outscored Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton 6-4 in the extra session to beat the Spartans 60-58 in a hard-fought non-conference game between area teams here Saturday.
 Trailing 54-52 at the tail end of regulation, AHSTW inbounded the ball from underneath its own basket and found Jake Martin on a lob play to force O.T.
 Senior R.J. Harris totaled 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Vikings, who grabbed 22 offensive boards in the game. Jack Paulson added 18 points and 15 rebounds (10 offensive) and Martin had 14 points.
 Cole Burmeister and Josh Pettepier (four treys) led the Spartans with 17 and 16 points, respectively, while Dakota Rold had nine points, 13 boards and five blocks.
