Vikings to play for third in WIC Baseball Tourney

 AREA -- The AHSTW baseball team advanced to the semifinals of the Western Iowa Conference Baseball Tournament with a pair of wins on Monday, beating Riverside 13-4 in first-round action before topping host Tri-Center 9-4 in a quarterfinal. The 7th-seeded Vikings (11-10 overall) were unable to carry the momentum into Wednesday’s semifinals at Manilla, however, as they lost to third-seeded Missouri Valley 15-1 in five innings.
 AHSTW will now face fourth-seeded Audubon in Friday’s third-place consolation final at 6:00 p.m. (at Manilla). The championship game will match top-seeded Treynor against Missouri Valley.
