Three area coaches recognized

 STATE -- Three area coaches have been honored by the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association as regional or substate coaches of the year after guiding their teams to the state tournament during the 2015-2016 season.
 Exira-EHK head coach Tom Petersen (Class 1-A, Region 7) and Harlan Community head coach Zach Klaassen (Class 4-A, Region 1) repeated as girls’ regional coaches of the year while IKM-Manning head coach Keith Wagner (Class 1-A, Substate 7) was cited as a boys’ substate coach of the year.
