Spartans sweep Woodbine, improve to 5-2 in RVC

 WOODBINE (Oct. 3) -- Sydnee Young led the way with 14 kills and four ace serves on Tuesday night as the Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton volleyball team swept Woodbine 25-13, 25-14, 25-15 in Rolling Valley Conference action.
 The Spartans improved to 12-13 overall and 5-2 in the RVC while Woodbine’s record fell to 2-17 and 0-6.
 Exira-EHK totaled 15 aces in just three sets, with Ellie Schultes (13/14) and Bailey Robertson (10/10) both adding three aces to Young’s four.
 Young finished with a .310 kill efficiency on the night, going 24-of-29 on her attacks with 14 kills. Sophia Peppers (.200 efficiency) added six kills, followed by Leslie Caniglia with four, Grave Greving and Jolene Jensen with three each and Robertson with two. Robertson also set 26 assists.
