Spartans fall in five

 DUNLAP (Sept. 26) -- Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton suffered a second straight loss in Rolling Valley Conference play Tuesday night, dropping a tough five-setter at Boyer Valley, 25-14, 18-25, 18-25, 28-26, 12-15.
 Following a hard-fought win in set four, the Spartans raced out to an 8-0 lead in the deciding fifth set but were outscored 15-4 the rest of the way.
 Exira-EHK, now 9-10 overall and 3-2 in the RVC, was led by the overall play of seniors Sydnee Young and Sophia Peppers. Young totaled 16 kills and 13 digs on the night while serving 21-of-23. Peppers had 10 kills and 22 digs while serving 16-of-17 with five aces.
 Senior Bailey Robertson set 25 assists for the Spartans and while going 19-of-19 with two aces from the service line. Block leaders included Leslie Caniglia with four and Peppers with three.
