Spartan boys improve to 9-1

 WOODBINE -- The Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton boys basketball team improved to 9-1 overall this past weekend with a pair of road victories, winning 78-63 at Woodbine Friday night and routing ACGC 77-38 on Saturday afternoon in Guthrie Center.

   Cole Burmeister led the Spartans with 23 points, eight assists and five steals against Woodbine, followed by Trever Schulz (13 rebounds), Trey Nelson and Dakota Rold with 14 points each. Burmeister also scored 23 at ACGC, followed by Rold with 14, Josh Pettepier 11 and Schulz 10.
