Softball: Trojans top HCHS

 ATLANTIC (June 25) -- Reagan Pellett’s sixth-inning grand slam put the finishing touches on Atlantic’s 8-2 softball win over Harlan Community Monday afternoon as the 7th-ranked (3A) Trojans moved closer to wrapping up a Hawkeye Ten Conference title.
 HCHS managed just two singles against Atlantic ace Ally Anderson, who walked one and struck out six. The Cyclones took a brief 2-0 lead in the top of the second on RBI hits by Anna Ahrenholtz and Tianna Kasperbauer but did not have any base runners in the final five innings.
 Morgan Schaben took the loss for HCHS, allowing 11 hits and eight earned runs in six innings. She walked four and had four strikeouts.
