Register honors Schulte as Iowa Coach of the Year

 DES MOINES -- Glenwood boys basketball coach Curt Schulte, a Westphalia native, has been recognized as the Des Moines Register’s All-Iowa Boys Basketball Coach of the Year.
 Schulte, who graduated from Harlan Community in 1989, guided Glenwood to its first boys basketball state title earlier this month following wins over Norwalk, two-time defending Class 3A champion Cedar Rapids Xavier and Oskaloosa. The Rams finished 22-2 overall and were Hawkeye Ten Conference champions as well.
