Mullen leads IKM-M girls with top 10 finish

 MAPLETON -- Hanna Mullen’s top-10 finish highlighted the IKM-Manning girls’ final golf outing of the season Monday (May 15) as the Wolves placed seventh out of nine teams in the Class 2-A first-round regional tournament at Mapleton’s Willow Vale Golf Course.
 Alta-Aurelia won the Region 1B meet by 38 shots over host Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto, 385 to 423, with both teams advancing to the May 22 Region 1 final in Moville.
 IKM-M scored a 489 and took seventh, led by Mullen’s 18-hole score of 107 which tied her for seventh in the 43-player field. Mullen shot a 56 on her first trip around the course and improved to 51 the second time.
 Additional scores for the Wolves included Brooke Waterbury’s 117, Bailey Schechinger’s 130 and a 135 for Lillie Ceminsky.
