Mo. Valley scores last 21 points to knock off Wolves

MISSOURI VALLEY -- The IKM-Manning football team suffered another heartbreaking loss on Friday night, letting a 24-7 third-quarter lead turn into a 28-24 loss at unbeaten Missouri Valley.
The Big Reds pulled within three points following a nine-play, 98-yard scoring drive, then recovered an onside kick with 2:30 remaining and scored again less than a minute later to take the lead.
IKM-Manning was unable to convert a first down on its final possession, dropping to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in Class 1-A, District 7. Mo. Valley improved to 5-0 and 3-0.
One week earlier, the Wolves lost to another of the district’s current co-leaders, Logan-Magnolia, by a 14-8 margin when their final drive stalled at the 5-yard line. They will host another 5-0 team this Friday night when AHSTW travels to Manning.
