Lady Vikes qualify for Class 2-A regional golf final

 NEOLA -- Treynor was the clear champion of Monday’s (May 15) Class 2-A, Region 2A Girls Golf Tournament at Quail Run Country Club, but the battle for second was won by AHSTW.
 The Lady Vikes kept their season alive by outlasting host Tri-Center by seven strokes for the meet’s all-important second-place spot.
 Treynor, which claimed the top five individual place-winners, won the tournament with a 314 and will advance to Monday’s Region 2 final at Winterset along with AHSTW (406). Tri-Center placed third with a 413 and Underwood (427) was fourth.
 Two players broke 100 for the Lady Vikes as Madison Rasmussen carded a 98 over 18 holes and Hannah Denning shot a 99. The team also counted Emma Jorgensen’s 103 and Grace Nagengast’s 106.
