Lady Vikes notch first victory

 NEOLA (Dec. 5) -- The AHSTW girls basketball team picked up its first win of the year Tuesday night, outscoring Tri-Center in all four quarters to prevail 58-41 and improve to 1-2 in the Western Iowa Conference (1-3 overall).
 Kinsey Scheffler and Sidney Nelsen paced the Lady Vikes’ balanced scoring attack with 13 and 10 points, respectively, followed by Morgan Eckmann and Claire Denning with eight points apiece.
 Scheffler also led the team with 11 rebounds, five steals and four assists.
 AHSTW shot 25-of-54 from the field (46.3%), including 5-of-18 from three-point range.
