Lady Vikes, Cyclones earn five golds at BVU indoor meet

 STORM LAKE (March 17) -- The AHSTW and Harlan Community girls track teams combined for five gold medals and 16 top-10 finishes while competing at Saturday’s BVU High School Elite indoor meet at Buena Vista University.
 Race winners for the Lady Vikes included Heidi Hall in the 1,500-meter run (5:23.16), Josie Denning in the 400 dash (1:05.97) and Ryann Portch in the 800 (2:33.14).
 The Cyclone girls won two events: Chloe Hansen in the 60-meter hurdles (10.13) and the shuttle hurdle relay (4x60) quartet of Hansen, Justine Buman, Alyssa Sotelo and Lucy Metzger.
