Klein caps Reiver career as All-American

 EL DORADO, KS -- Iowa Western Community College sophomore Marcus Klein earned All-American status for the second straight year by placing second in the decathlon at the 2018 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships held May 17-19.
 Klein, a 2016 graduate of Harlan Community High School, is the son of Rose Stitz, Harlan, and Tracy Klein. The IWCC standout scored 6,663 points in the decathlon at nationals, placing second to Jonathan Ply of Central Arizona, who tallied 7,010.
 Klein placed first in the 100-meter dash, long jump and 400 dash and was second in the 110-meter hurdles. He recorded personal bests in four of the 10 events, including a long jump mark of 24 feet, one inch, and a 400 time of 48.91. His winning time in the 100 was 10.95.
 Klein, who was also an indoor season All-American in the heptathlon in March after placing seventh at nationals, received NJCAA All-Academic First Team honors for both the indoor and outdoor seasons. This honor is given out to those athletes who achieve a 4.0 GPA.
 Klein will continue his academic and track career at Northwest Missouri State University in the fall.
