Jones ties for 27th at 1-A State Bowling

    DES MOINES – Harlan Community High School junior Keaton Jones placed in a tie for 27th out of 52 total bowlers at the Class 1-A Boys State Bowling Tournament held at Plaza Lanes in Des Moines on Monday.
    Jones rolled individual games of 190 and 184 for a total score of 374.
    Jones became just the second state qualifier in the history of the Cyclone boys bowling program after rolling a career-best 461 series at the Class 1-A State Qualifying Tournament in Le Mars on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
    Jones entered state with a season game average of 167, and performed extremely well at the state-qualifying event as well as at the state tournament.
    West Delaware won the team title at the tournament, with the top two bowlers on the day.  The Hawkeye 10’s Shenandoah finished in seventh place overall out of eight teams.
