IKM-M baseball tops Lo-Ma, Mo. Valley

 LOGAN -- Cody Chapman allowed two unearned runs in the first inning before putting up zeros the rest of the way Tuesday night as the IKM-Manning baseball team rallied past Logan-Magnolia for a 4-2 win.
 Chapman (1-0) finished with a two-hitter, walking four and striking out six in a complete game effort. The Wolves’ third straight win improved their record to 6-4 overall and 5-3 in the Western Iowa Conference.
 IKM-M took the lead with two runs in the fifth inning and added a sixth-inning insurance run on Jared Johnson’s infield RBI single.
IKM-M 8, Mo. Valley 7
 MANILLA -- A four-run second inning and three-run fifth paved the way for IKM-Manning’s 8-7 home win over Missouri Valley on Monday night (June 5). The Big Reds scored three runs in the top of the seventh before the Wolves were able to record the final out.
 Jared Johnson earned the win on the mound, allowing three hits and three unearned runs in five innings with eight strikeouts and one walk. Sam Gross and Alex Lingle pitched in relief.
 Offensive leaders for the Wolves included Johnson, Nick Halbur and Chris Monson, who all finished with two hits.
