Holloway places seventh at Betty Heflin Invite; HCHS girls take 5th

 ATLANTIC (May 1) -- Lexie Holloway’s seventh-place round of 89 led the way for Harlan Community last Tuesday as the Cyclones finished fifth out of 12 teams in the Betty Heflin Girls Golf Invitational at the Atlantic Country Club.
 Creston won the tournament with an impressive score of 349, followed by Atlantic (363), Carroll (365), Kuemper Catholic (373), HCHS (390) and Glenwood (411). Creston’s Rylie Driskell earned top medalist honors with an 8-over-par round of 78, edging Atlantic’s Alyssa Ginther by two strokes.
 Holloway’s 89 included seven pars and one birdie, including a string of four straight pars on holes 15-18, two of which were par 5’s. HCHS also counted scores of 98 by Delaney Kelly, 100 by Haley Manz and 103 by Ellen Keast. Jocelyn Cheek shot a 107 and Kayla Powers added a 110.
