HCHS stays unbeaten with another 1-0 win

CARROLL -- Winning its fourth straight low-scoring, one-goal decision, the Harlan Community boys soccer team improved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in Hawkeye Ten Conference play with a 1-0 win at Kuemper Catholic Monday night.
Senior Ethan Knudson provided the only score of the game by converting a penalty kick with 28:48 left in the second half. The PK was set up by a handball call inside the box on the Knights (2-1 overall, 0-1 H-10).
Cyclone goalie Keaton Jones, who has allowed just one goal in four matches, made eight saves to preserve his third shutout in the net. Richard Blackman and Devin Mahoney both attempted two shots on goal for HCHS, which has now won three 1-0 games and another by the score of 2-1.
