HCHS routs Tee Jay for second straight tennis win

 HARLAN -- The Harlan Community boys tennis team won its second meet in as many days here Tuesday, dominating Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, 9-0, to improve to 2-1 on the year.
 Adjusting to a strong south wind, the Cyclones won five matches handily and also picked up hard-fought 9-7 wins by Alec Plagman at number-two singles and Isaac Stitz and Plagman at number-one doubles.
 Kaleb Kaster improved to 3-0 in No. 6 singles play and is also 3-0 in No. 3 doubles with Josh Cheek. They won their doubles match 8-0 on Tuesday, as did the No. 2 pairing of Michael Rueschenberg and Nolan Heese.

HCHS 6, St. Albert 3
 COUNCIL BLUFFS -- Four decisive wins in singles play set the stage for the Cyclones’ 6-3 dual victory at St. Albert in Monday’s Hawkeye Ten Conference opener.
 In the number three through six singles matches, Michael Rueschenberg, Josh Cheek, Nolan Heese and Kaleb Kaster all won by scores ranging from 8-0 (Heese) to 8-2. HCHS also won two out of three doubles matches.
