HCHS girls golfers fall to Atlantic, set for regionals

 HARLAN (May 14) -- The Harlan Community girls golf team finished regular season play Tuesday with a 21-stroke loss to Atlantic (204-225) at the Harlan Golf and Country Club, putting their final dual record at 2-6.
 HCHS scores included a 52 by Kayla Powers, a 55 for Haley Manz and a 57 shot by Jocelyn Cheek. Brecken Van Baale (61) and Ashley Hall (69) rounded out the card.
 Atlantic’s Baylee Newell earned top medalist honors with a 47.
 Both teams will travel to Storm Lake’s Buena Vista University Golf Course Monday (May 20) for a Class 3A regional final meet.
