HCHS boys third at District meet

 DENISON -- The difference between state and the end of the season came down to four strokes for the Harlan Community boys golf team.
 The Cyclones scored a 329 at the Class 3-A District Tournament on May 20, placing third behind Atlantic (314) and MOC-Floyd Valley (325), who both advanced to the state meet. Glenwood (332) and Estherville-Lincoln Central (340) rounded out the district field at Denison’s Majestic Hills Golf Course.
 “Our guys played some very smart golf today and as a result we put ourselves in position to nab that second-place invite to the state tournament,” stated HCHS coach Chad Swanson. “Coming up just short stings, but the guys did everything they could to give themselves a chance.
