Harlan wins 11th straight Western Iowa Swim League conference championship

 HARLAN -- Placing first in 33 out of 78 events and setting five school records on the day, Harlan Community’s summer swim team won its 11th consecutive Western Iowa Swim League conference meet championship on Saturday, July 8 at the Norman D. Stamp Aquatic Center.
 Harlan scored 701.5 total points to outlast second-place Avoca (473.5) and third-place Missouri Valley (392), setting the meet record for largest margin of victory for the third year in a row. Harlan was also represented by two swimmers, Darbie Argotsinger (11-12 girls) and Malachi Purcell (15-18 boys) on the first-ever WISL all-conference team.
 It was another successful year for the Harlan Community summer swim team, which won all eight of its meets on the season. The team was coached by Logan Maxwell.
