Harlan Community Trapshoot Report

 COUNTY -- The Harlan Community Trap Team held their second home meet of the year at Shelby County Trap Range on April 16. The meet included 236 shooters from 12 different schools. Once again, the wind was a major factor with gusts of 25 mph making the targets very sporty.
    Harlan Community High School’s Team Red placed 2nd in the team event. Team members were Jack Gubbels, Alex Assmann, Jamie Schechinger, Marshall Tucker and Lucas Schmitz. Harlan had 20 shooters of the 145 total that shot the high school event. Top Harlan scores and places were: 7th - Matt Devine and Marshall Tucker (46x50); 11th - Alex Assmann and Jack Gubbels (44x50); 37th - Kyle Travis, Dillon Frederick, Lucas Schmitz, Tyler Anderson and Will Sonderman (40x50). Jamie Schechinger led the high school girls with a 34x50.
