Foss was one of seven area players honored Tuesday by the INA, which selected three all-state teams per class and named six senior captains.
Joining Foss on the Class 3A First Team was HCHS senior Caleb Brouse (offensive line). Cyclone senior Deren Schmitz was cited as a second-team defensive back while junior Jon Owens is a third-team linebacker.
In Class 1A, IKM-Manning senior Austin Ahrenholtz was voted as a second-team offensive lineman while AHSTW juniors Gabe Pauley (linebacker) and Drake Partridge (defensive back) made the second-team defense.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Foss finished his Cyclone career as the program’s all-time co-leader with 71 total touchdowns following a 2017 season in which he reached the end zone 38 total times.
