Fischer, Hall place in top five at Treynor Invite

 TREYNOR (Sept. 5) -- AHSTW’s Dalton Fischer and Heidi Hall both placed in the top five and IKM-Manning boasted four total medalists as part of Tuesday’s Treynor Cross Country Invite.
 Fischer placed third in a boys field of 120 runners for the Vikings, clocking a five-kilometer time of 17:41 at the Treynor Recreation Area. Fischer trailed only Jerry Jorgenson of Treynor (16:59) and Southwest Iowa’s Adam Thompson (17:29).
 Hall, meanwhile, placed fifth out of 102 girls runners for the Lady Vikes, finishing the race in 21:06. Teammates Julia Kock and Chloe Falkena placed 19th and 21st, respectively.
 IKM-Manning was led by the top 10 finish of senior Payton Sporrer, who placed eighth. The only other Wolves girl was Cassidy Branning, who medaled in 16th. The IKM-Manning boys also had two medalists as Quentin Dreyer came in 14th and Dillon Hansen was 15th.
 Tri-Center swept the girls and boys team titles on the day, posting scores of 68 (girls) and 46 (boys). The AHSTW girls placed fifth with a 128 and the Exira-EHK girls, led by Camryn Paulsen in 51st, finished 11th. The IKM-Manning boys placed third in the team standings (120) and AHSTW (258) took ninth.
