Errors plague HCHS softball team

Cyclones outlast Denison 13-12, but fall to SB-L, 13-3, at home

 HARLAN -- On Tuesday night at Denison, the Harlan Community softball team was able to survive six errors and grind out a 13-12 win over the Monarchs.
 One night later in Harlan, however, five errors in the fourth inning alone were simply too much to overcome.
 Sergeant Bluff-Luton took full advantage of the Cyclone generosity, plating eight unearned runs in the top of the fourth and beating HCHS 13-3 in five innings.
 The Cyclones (3-3 overall) committed eight errors all told which led to 12 unearned runs for the 12th-ranked (Class 3-A) Warriors (5-4).

HCHS 13, Denison 12
 DENISON -- In a see-saw affair featuring 27 total hits and 13 errors, Harlan Community plated a run in the top of the seventh to outlast Denison-Schleswig 13-12 on Tuesday night.
 HCHS trailed 6-3 after two innings but kept chipping away and scored seven times during the fifth and sixth innings to takes leads of 9-7 and 12-9. Denison retied the score both times but could not answer the Cyclones in the bottom of the seventh.
