Defense highlights HCHS win at St. Albert

 COUNCIL BLUFFS -- The Harlan Community Cyclones won with defense Friday night, holding St. Albert to just 21 points through three quarters and picking up a 54-33 conference road victory over the Falcons.
 HCHS outscored St. Albert 30-13 during the pivotal second and third quarters, improving its Hawkeye Ten record to 5-0 - tied with Kuemper Catholic for first place.
 The Falcons had just beaten Kuemper, 60-52, in a non-conference game Tuesday, but could not get much of anything going Friday, shooting 21 percent overall and 2-of-17 from the three-point arc. Travis Miller, who entered the game averaging nearly 17 points per game, finished with five against the Cyclones.
 Will Lansman led HCHS with 20 points (8-of-11 field goals) and grabbed eight rebounds. Kyle Juhl (15 boards) and Ethan Knudson both added 10 points while Caleb Rasmussen had six points, six rebounds, two steals and six assists. The Cyclones won the rebounding battle, 42-29, and blocked eight shots.
