Cyclones steal 12 bases, subjugate Monarchs, 15-3

 DENISON -- Taking control early with eight runs in the top of the second inning, Harlan Community recorded its third blowout victory in as many games Tuesday with a 15-3 five-inning baseball romp at Denison-Schleswig.
 The second-ranked (3-A) Cyclones (3-0 overall, 2-0 Hawkeye Ten) stole 12 bases in the game and constantly had runners on base vs. four Monarch pitchers, totaling 11 hits, seven walks and three hit batsmen while also aided by four D-S errors.
 Nick Foss had a big night at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double and a triple, one walk, three runs scored and an RBI. Dillon Sears (2 runs, 1 RBI), Nick Tarney (3 RBI) and Josh Cheek (1 run, 2 RBI) each added a pair of singles for the Cyclones and Jon Owens scored three times running for Tarney.
