Cyclones move to 3-0 in boys soccer

 COUNCIL BLUFFS -- The Harlan Community boys soccer team improved to 3-0 overall Monday night with its third one-goal victory of the young season, winning 2-1 at Lewis Central in both squads’ Hawkeye Ten opener. The Cyclones had previously won a pair of 1-0 decisions vs. Treynor and Underwood.
 HCHS senior Alex Assmann broke a scoreless tie with just 3:08 left in the first half, converting off a rare goalie assist by Keaton Jones, who collected the ball in the 18-yard box and sent a long, high kick down the field. Assmann beat the Titan back line and goalie to put the ball in the net for a 1-0 lead.
