Cyclone streak at 17

Girls Basketball HCHS 66, St. Albert 35

 COUNCIL BLUFFS -- Owning the first and third quarters at St. Albert, the Harlan Community girls had little trouble running their winning streak to 17 games Tuesday night with a 66-35 victory over the Saintes.
 The top-ranked (Class 4-A) Cyclones led 20-5 following the opening period but saw their lead trimmed to 30-22 at the half. They responded with the first 17 points of the third quarter and cruised the rest of the way, improving to 17-1 overall.
 Taylor Frederick led the Cyclones with 26 points and 12 rebounds while Jordyn Moser hit 3-of-4 three-point shots and finished with 22 points and three steals. Six other Cyclones scored between two and four points, including Clare Klein, who had five assists.
 Alyssa Carley and Paige Beacom scored 11 points each for the Saintes (15-5), who lost to the Cyclones for the second time this year.
