Cyclone girls sweep C.B. schools in final regular-season meet

 COUNCIL BLUFFS -- The Harlan Community girls bowling team saved its best team score of the season for the final dual meet last Tuesday (February 7), knocking down 2,192 total pins to beat both Lewis Central (1,910) and St. Albert (1,664) at Thunderbowl. HCHS finished with a dual record of 5-6.
 The Cyclone boys, meanwhile, went 1-1 on the day to finish 8-3 for the season. Lewis Central won the meet with 3,048 pins, followed by HCHS (2,822) and St. Albert (2,379). The Cyclones’ top two-game series scores included Bailey Schmitz with a 449 (224, 225) and Brody Sorensen’s 427 (203, 224), which were both season-bests. In addition, Mitchell Leinen and Nicholas Andersen both rolled 214 games.
 Molly Wingert led the Cyclone girls with a 342 series - her best dual score of the year - followed by Jessie Phipps (311), Kenzie Jones (287) and Samantha McCool (season-best 267). Phipps rolled the team’s only 200 game with a season-best 209.
