Coach Daeges to join IHSBCA Hall of Fame

 DES MOINES -- Harlan Community baseball coach Steve Daeges will be one of five individuals inducted into the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Saturday evening (January 23) in West Des Moines.
 The Hall of Fame and awards banquet will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel as part of the 48th annual IHSBCA Baseball Clinic.
 Joining Daeges in this year’s Hall of Fame class are: Casey Blake and Jeff Clement, both former Iowa high school and Major League Baseball players; Tim O’Neill, baseball coach at Sioux City Heelan and Dowling Catholic; and Jeff Scharn, baseball coach at Sioux Central.
 Awards will also be presented to the top baseball coaches, umpires and media from across the state in 2015.
