Campbell, HCHS place seventh in Atlantic Invite

 ATLANTIC (May 1) -- Harlan Community senior Kevin Campbell finished among the top 12 individuals with a seventh-place score of 74 as the Cyclones finished seventh out of 14 teams in the Atlantic Boys Golf Invitational, held May 1 at the Nishna Hills Golf Club.
 Kuemper Catholic won a tight race for the team title on a tiebreaker (fifth score) after the Knights and Glenwood both finished with a 298. The top five also included Atlantic with a 301, ADM (306) and Norwalk (310). HCHS, which was competing without two of its regular varsity players in Jay Swanson and Mason Peters, carded a 330 for seventh.
 Campbell’s 74 included a 34 on the front nine at Nishna Hills while three other Cyclones scored in the 80s: Ryan DeMott 83, Jared Moser 84 and Jake Dotzler 89. Also competing were Blake Goshorn (91) and Isaiah Ahrenholtz (94).
