Buman 100 hurdles runner-up at Junior High State Track Meet

 ANKENY – Harlan Community Middle School’s Justine Buman brought home two medals from the Mike Henderson Junior High State Track Meet held May 6 at Ankeny Stadium.
 Justine was an eighth grader at HCMS during the 2016-17 school year and is the daughter of Jeff and Janet Buman, Harlan.
 Buman ran a time of 16.97 in the 100-meter hurdles, earning second place among all participants in the large-schools division, which includes Iowa classes 3A and 4A. A total of 34 hurdlers competed in the 8th grade large schools 100-meter hurdle event.
 Buman also earned a sixth-place finish in the 200-meter hurdles among a field of 26 participants.
