Bruck swims for Lewis Central team

COUNCIL BLUFFS -- Harlan Community sophomore Abby Bruck competed for the Lewis Central girls swim team for the second consecutive year and finished her season at the state meet in Marshalltown. Abby is pictured above with LC swim coaches Bruce Schomburg and Kelsey Schomburg.
 Bruck qualified for state in both the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay. The Titan 200 free relay placed 15th out of 24 qualifiers with a time of 1:40.09. The 400 free relay placed 10th out of 24 state qualifiers in 3:38.60. Both times were at least two seconds faster than the team’s previous best on the year and the 400 free relay time was the second-best in school history. Bruck also competed individually in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle events throughout the season, recording multiple victories. (Photo contributed)
