 ELK HORN (May 31) -- Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton took a 4-1 lead after two innings and answered every Tri-Center challenge the rest of the way last Friday night, scoring three runs in the fourth and two in the sixth to beat the Trojans 9-5.
 Offensive leaders for the Spartans included Josh Pettepier with two singles, two walks and two RBI, Tyler Petersen a single and two RBI and Cole Burmeister a single, two stolen bases and three runs scored.
 Tyler Petersen pitched the first four and two-thirds innings and earned the win, allowing seven hits and five runs (two earned), walking one and striking out five. Burmeister recorded the final seven outs in just 24 pitches, striking out four without allowing a hit.
Treynor 17, IKM-Manning 1
 MANILLA (May 31) -- Wyatt James (four innings) and Kyle Christensen combined on a three-hitter for Treynor last Friday as the Cardinals beat the Wolves 17-1 in five.
 Alex Lingle, Jarod Henkelman and Ethan Carter all singled for IKM-M and Amos Rasmussen scored a run. Lingle took the loss, allowing eight runs (six earned) in less than four innings.
Audubon 8, IKM-Manning 1
 AUDUBON (June 3) -- The Wolves dropped to 2-5 on the season following Monday’s 8-1 loss to the Audubon Wheelers.
 The game was tied 1-1 going to the home half of the fifth when Audubon scored five runs and added two more in the sixth.
 Joel Klocke pitched six innings of one-hit ball for the Wheelers, striking out six and allowing no earned runs. Conner Richards took the loss for IKM-M, allowing seven hits and four earned runs in four and a third. He walked one and fanned six.
