Audubon girls sweep IKM-M

MANNING -- For as well as the IKM-Manning girls played in Tuesday’s third quarter versus Audubon, the Wheelers turned the tables and played just as well or better in the fourth.
The result was another close loss for the senior-less Wolves, who are still learning how to finish games as they strive to peak at the end of a still-promising season.
Trailing 27-23 at the half, IKM-Manning outscored the Wheelers 24-11 in the third to take a nine-point lead, but were outscored by that same 24-11 margin in the fourth to finish on the short end of a 62-58 decision.
The Wolves (10-4 overall, 7-4 in Western Iowa Conference play) have now lost four games by six points or less this season, including a pair of four-point defeats at the hands of Audubon (9-5, 8-3), which maintained its share of second place in the WIC standings while the Wolves dropped to fifth.
