All-Hawkeye Ten soccer teams include 11 Cyclones

 HARLAN -- Eleven Harlan Community boys and girls soccer players were recognized on the 2017 Hawkeye Ten All-Conference Soccer teams released in June.
 The list includes eight players from the Cyclone boys team which set a school record for wins this past season, going 15-3 overall, and tied Lewis Central and Denison-Schleswig for the conference title with a 6-1 record, its first share of a Hawkeye Ten crown since 2010.
 The Cyclone girls, meanwhile, had three players honored following their 5-13 campaign and fifth-place Hawkeye Ten finish (2-5).
 Three HCHS boys and one girl were named first-teamers. Cyclone juniors Drew Voge and Tanner Fink were both unanimous first-team selections while junior goal keeper Keaton Jones also made the first team after recording 81 saves against 13 goals allowed. Fink led HCHS with nine goals, six assists and 21 shots on goal. Voge added two goals and five assists while continuing to be a force on defense. For the girls, senior Haley Arkfeld was a first-team selection after leading the team with 15 goals and five assists.
 Second-teamers for the Cyclone boys included seniors Richard Blackman (6 goals) and Wren Koch (2 goals). Receiving honorable mention were freshman Michael Heithoff (7 goals, 4 assists), sophomore Hunter Manz and senior Devin Mahoney (4 goals, 3 assists).
 The Cyclone girls had two honorable mention selections as well in junior Kylee Hinz (10 goals, 1 assist) and senior Jenna Brelje (7 goals, 3 assists).
