AHSTW to host KMAland All-Star Classic
AVOCA -- Six area girls and boys basketball players and one local coach will be taking part in the inaugural KMAland All-Star Basketball Classic, set for Sunday, March 18 at AHSTW High School in Avoca.
A total of 40 seniors from KMAland have been selected for the event, which will start with the girls all-star game at 5:00 p.m., followed by the boys game.
The evening will also include a 3-point shooting contest and former Tri-Center star Cary Cochran being inducted into the KMA Sports Hall of Fame.
Area girls selected for the game include Kealey Nelson and Sophia Peppers of Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton, Kia Rasmussen of IKM-Manning and Nicole Lange of Harlan Community.
Area boys include R.J. Harris of AHSTW, who will play for his brother G.G. Harris’ team, and Shane Chamberlain of HCHS.
